Warranties provide peace of mind. Our limited waranty program is backed by the Home Builders Association of Greater Cincinnati and includes One-Year Quality Coverage, 10-Year Structural Coverage, and Manufacturers’ Warranties. Contact us for details.
For Existing Designs, the pre-construction focus is on finalizing all of the decisions, including working with our design team on the final set of structural options, selections and finishes. We then schedule a pre-construction meeting to review all of the information.
For Custom homes, a construction bid set of plans must first be completed. Finalizing the bid set of construction plans is completed prior to signing a sales agreement. With the help of our in-house architect, K Homes will help you develop the bid set of plan for your home. This bid set will allow K Homes to generate an accurate quote to build your house with all of K Homes’ high quality standard features. The cost for these preliminary building plans is $3,000 and is applied toward the final price of the home. After the sales agreement is signed, we schedule a pre-construction meeting to review all of the information one more time. Following this, we will apply for a building permit—which usually is received within one to two weeks.
Construction takes about 150 days. Two months prior to the completion of your home, we will give you a completion date so that you can begin planning for the closing. Construction scheduling includes:
- Visiting the building site
- Pre-drywall walk-through
- Weekly updates from the superintendent
- Home orientation and final walk-through
In 2005, Gene Kopaygorodsky founded K Homes with the hope of raising the bar for how energy-efficient homes look and feel. Since completing one of the first Energy Star-qualified homes in the area in 2006, K Homes has helped bring sustainable design to the mainstream, offering attractive finishes, high-quality construction and high-end standards.
The company is a respected member of the Better Business Bureau and the Home Builders Association of Greater Cincinnati. Despite the company’s growth, he remains involved in the construction of every home, fielding customers’ questions and usually attending pre-construction meetings.
While K Homes offers a range of home designs and price points, the company specializes in customization – from upgrading an existing plan to designing a custom dream home, on your property or in one of the featured communities. If you’re interested in building a new home, we invite you to raise your expectations and experience how an energy-efficient home can look and feel.
