An important component of this guarantee is the two-zone Bryant heating and cooling system. A programmable thermostat on the second floor – where it’s typically hotter – is controlled independently from the thermostat on the first floor, allowing each to be set appropriately. This not only improves home energy efficiency but allows for more-comfortable sleeping conditions on both floors.
To prevent conditioned air from escaping the home and to mitigate unconditioned hot or cold air entering the home, all our homes feature a super-insulated shell that includes 2×6 exterior walls with R-23 insulation, R-50 attic insulation and the Hydra Guard-basement waterproofing system with an R-5 insulation board on the outside of the wall.
Home comfort, of course, is about more than temperature and air flow. While a whole-house brick veneer from Hanson Brick helps reduce air infiltration and improve the home’s thermal barrier, it also eliminates the annoyance of rattling siding, and the maintenance that comes with it.
